Stello Says Hello to the World
A webpage performance, interactive installation, and zine about a brand-new computer learning from the magical world around her. HTML and CSS form the foundation for the functional webpage that is the “site” of the performance, combining with narrative storytelling and live engagement with the online elements to complete the visuals. The story follows a magical realist version of the world, in which a newborn computer in the form of an electrical spark travels on city busses, discovers countless different colors of green, and meets the sky at the end of the world. The performance explores the vast creative possibilities of website-building and acts as a manifesto for a user-controlled internet.
